Resistencia Film Screening

Start: Tuesday, June 14, 2016 6:00 PM

The oligarchs behind the 2009 coup in Honduras have been grabbing land, resources, lives and freedoms ever since. Resistencia chronicles the damage wrought when big capital gives up on democracy. It shows the cost in lives and environment of the monoculture of palm oil. Filmmaker Jesse Freeston shows the courageous resistance of poor farmers, journalists, and many Hondurans against the police, military and private security all armed by the U.S. Today as more coups in Latin America are in the air, this film is a unique and important warning.

While this screening is free, there is a $5 suggested donation that will help fund scholarships for human rights delegates to join CBN in Honduras this August.
