Richmond Demand Delivery and Lobby Day

Start: Wednesday, January 16, 201910:30 AM

Join us on January 16th at 10:30am in Richmond as the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival delivers our demands around voting rights, clean, safe, renewable energy, $15 hour minimum wage and our Moral Agenda to the incoming General Assembly! We will bring the message that this Campaign is prepared to hold our Virginia political representatives accountable until our demands are met.

We will not let politicians hold power in this country without talking out systemic racism, including voter suppression the attacks on immigrant and native communities, and the mass criminalization and incarceration of our communities; without talking about systemic poverty and the necessity of programs of social uplift; without talking about the war economy and ecological devastation that are blighting our people and the places we live; without talking about the distorted moral narrative that ignores the needs of the people.
