Ride to Sidney Municipal Hall

Start: Monday, January 20, 2025 5:00 PM

Bowerbank Rd at Calvin Ave facing South.

Join us on Monday, January 20th at 5:00 PM for a group bicycle ride to show support for safe streets and cycling infrastructure in Sidney!

The Town of Sidney is in the final planning stages of the Bowerbank Neighbourhood Bikeway, set to start construction later this year. A surge of eleventh-hour opposition is threatening to cancel or limit the effectiveness of the first bikeway project in Sidney. Council will be deciding the project's fate at the January 20th Committee of the Whole meeting.

Meet us at 5:00 PM at the pickup/dropoff zone of North Saanich Middle School and we'll aim to start riding around ~5:15. We will be following the route shown in the map below, ending at Sidney Municipal Hall. It'll be a leisurely pace so don't worry if you're not a fast rider. If you can't make it for the start feel free to join anywhere along the way, or show up at Sidney Municipal Hall in time for the 6:00 PM meeting to show your support.

For more information about the project visit Bowerbank Road Neighbourhood Bikeway.
