Rise for a Resilient Rochester

Start: Saturday, September 08, 201810:00 AM

End: Saturday, September 08, 201812:00 PM

On September 8th, four days before the start of the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco, California, people from across the country and around the world will be calling for renewed commitments to climate action.  People are asking for real actions to replace hollow words.

In Rochester, we will highlight the urgency and benefits of climate action: improving health, lowering energy costs, creating jobs, and improving accessibility.  Community Leaders from government, business, faith, and other sectors will listen as Rochester and regional residents share personal stories of climate change impacts and the solutions they’d like to see.

This will help us consider the challenges and opportunities inherent in community-based climate action. If we act swiftly, our community can be made more resilient, with everyone benefiting in the ways listed above.

Light buffet brunch to be served.
