And if you live within a mile of the railroad tracks, you are at serious risk. The entire downtown area could be obliterated. Much like Lac Megantic, in Canada, where an explosion killed 47 people and racked up 2 billion in damages. Now, the formerly picturesque town lies in gravel rubble, without sufficient funds to rebuild. With little recourse, these damages fall on taxpayers.
