Safeguarding Training for Leadership Groups - Part 2

Join us for Learning Thursdays, a free weekly online learning opportunity for Citizens UK leaders and member institutions.

This session is the second in a two-part series for leaders. Every Chapter must be represented across this training.

Safeguarding is fundamental to our work - every Citizens UK Chapter and project must have at least one Safeguarding Lead. To be a Lead you don't have to be a safeguarding expert - after all, safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. The role of a Safeguarding Lead is to understand Citizens UK's policies on safeguarding, and to be able to communicate these to the rest of your Leadership Team.

There will be ample space for discussion, as we hope to hear your thoughts on what works in your Chapter or member institutions and what additional support you might need going forward.

This session will focus in more depth on how and where to report safeguarding concerns within Citizens UK, and the role of a Citizens UK Safeguarding Lead. We will also use scenario-based discussions to think about situations that may arise in your chapter and how to deal with them.

This training will be led by Citizens UK Safeguarding Officer Jawed Neshat, and Louise Willis-Keeler - CEO and Founder of specialist safeguarding consultancy Psych-Logical.
