NoDAPL: SF Bay Stands w/ Standing Rock: No Keystone By Any Name

Start: Tuesday, September 13, 2016 5:30 PM

End: Tuesday, September 13, 2016 7:30 PM

The movement to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline is growing stronger by the day, and it’s time for all of us to rise up and play a role in this fight – no matter where we live.

Join us on Tuesday, September 13 for a solidarity action and rally at Oscar Grant/Frank Ogawa Plaza at 5:30pm calling on President Obama to instruct the Army Corps of Engineers to revoke the permits for this dirty oil pipeline. We

GUERRILLA PROJECTIONS: San Francisco Projection Dept will project giant guerrilla images on Oakland City Hall from the collection of images "Solidarity with Standing Rock Art" curated by Melanie Cervantes, & SFPD will also screen a  recent video of updates and another video from Standing Rock.

HUMAN BILLBOARD: We are looking for 100 volunteers to create a human billboard in front of Oakland City Hall with the screen-printed Thunderbird flags of Ojibway artist Isaac Murdoch and a series of giant Stand with Standing Rock banners. Wear red if possible, though not required.

By gathering at Oscar Grant/Frank Ogawa Plaza, we hope to call attention to the brave water and land protectors at Standing Rock and encourage our representatives to urge Obama to permanently reject this project.
