Join San Jose State Associated Students, SJSU leaders, and more to celebrate public transit and the BayPass all-agency transit pass pilot!

To kick off the celebration, attend the Press Conference at SJSU on Tower Lawn, at the Tommie Smith and John Carlos Statue at 10AM to learn more about Seamless Bay Area's Efforts and Launch of the BayPass. Joined by Interim President Steve Perez, County Supervisor Cindy Chavez, Councilmember Sergio Jimenez, Councilmember Raul Peralez, and A.S. Sustainability BOD Dhruv Varshney.

Then attend our evening celebration! Meet at San Jose City Hall at 4:30PM to join the ride-along with A.S. board members, or join the gathering around 5PM at Cahill park for tacos, games, and giveaways. Plus hear from A.S. President Nina Chuang and Seamless Bay Area Advocacy Director Adina Levin. The transit ride is free for students and employees with a SmartPass Clipper Card, or $2.50 regularly on VTA.

Route Plan:
4:30 - Meet at San Jose City Hall (E Santa Clara St)
4:50 - Board on VTA Bus 22 on Santa Clara & 5th
4:58 - Depart bus at The Alameda and Rhodes stop
5:00 - Head towards Sunol St. from the drop off location and cross the crosswalk, turn left walking down The Alameda, then take a Right on Wilson St. Continue to walk straight.
5:05 - Arrive at Cahill Park (6 minute walk, 0.2 mi from drop off point)
5 - 7PM - Snacks, speeches, games, and giveaways at the park!

To get your SmartPass Clipper through A.S. Transportation Solutions, submit an online request then pick up your card at the AS General Services center (located in Student Union, Room 1800). SJSU Tower Card is required for pick-up. There's a $3 charge for the cost of the Clipper card (cash or card is accepted).
