Please join us for the foundational meeting of a school health coalition! This is a new initiative that we need your help to shape, build and grow throughout the Commonwealth.

WHAT: It is an aspiration of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, in partnership with Kentucky Voices for Health and Cairn Guidance, to create this coalition as a space for advocacy organizations, educators, healthcare providers, and community members to share expertise and information, identify and promote policy priorities and programs, organize campaigns, and mobilize advocacy efforts with the goal of improving the health and wellbeing of children and youth.

WHY: Because the health and wellness of children and youth is the driving force for a healthier Kentucky. To raise the Commonwealth from its current place as one of the unhealthiest states in the nation, we need to work collectively to promote policies and practices that will lead to the attainment of the optimal physical, mental and social health and well-being for all children and youth in Kentucky.

WHO: You! To improve the health and wellbeing of Kentucky's kids, we need to have everyone working together around the same table. That means advocates, educators, healthcare providers, community leaders and members, and policymakers.

WHEN: Our first convening will be on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 9:30 to 4:00.

WHERE: Embassy Suites, 1801 Newton Pike, Lexington, KY 40509
