Schools We Deserve Campaign Launch- Boston Education Justice Alliance
Start: Thursday, June 11, 2015• 4:30 PM
Every year we’re forced to conform with crippling cuts of $50-100 million or more to the BPS system. Our curriculum is strangled by standardized tests that do not serve to educate but instead punish students, teachers and parents. Resources and opportunities for art and music, history, guidance counselors and nurses are virtually nonexistent. These are not the schools we deserve.
The Schools our Communities Deserve have:
- Less Testing, More Learning!
- With full and equitable funding- not closing of schools!
- Empowered by real parent and student voice in school decision-making!
The Boston Education Justice Alliance is a grassroots coalition of parents, students and teachers created to attain these goals.
Thursday, June 11th from 4:30-7PM at Madison Park High(75 Malcolm X Blvd, 5 mins from Roxbury Crossing Orange line) we’ll be launching our Schools Our Communities Deserve campaign.
Will you join this historic movement with us?
