1. Launch of "Know the Rules, Make A Plan, Vote Early" Video Toolkit: It is more important than ever to make a plan to vote this election. Democracy Initiative is encouraging principals of partner groups to commit to making a plan for either safe-in person voting or Vote by Mail—and sending their ballot in early—and to share a short video message to members and supporters urging them to do the same. We will share our partner video toolkit next week with sample talking points, video script and instructions, and sample social media for partners’ engagement.
2. #SaveUSPS Fight Update: DI coalition partners are mounting an enormous push this month to get emergency relief for the Post Office and reverse service cuts, as part of the larger effort to save the USPS. We will be joined by Porter McConnell, Campaign Director for DI partner Take On Wall Street, and Debby Szeredy, Executive Vice President for DI partner American Postal Workers Union, to discuss the on the ongoing fight and opportunities for your organizations to plug in.
