September Board of Regents Meeting: Make your voice heard!

Start: Friday, September 16, 202208:00 AM

Join us on Friday, September 16th at 8:00 AM to make our voices heard at the September Board of Regents meeting. We’ll be doing a short rally in front of the Stamp Student Union and will then head inside to participate in the public comment period.

We’re negotiating our first master contract for the entire USM (University System of Maryland), and this is a critical opportunity for the Board of Regents to hear why we need better pay, more manageable workloads, adequate leave time, and more.

Invite your coworkers, friends, and family to join us at the University of Maryland College Park to let the Regents know that USM workers deserve a great contract!

Even if you can’t be here in person, be sure to wear your AFSCME green and our “Fair Contract Now” sticker! Our field representatives and your local leaders will be distributing stickers leading up to this event. You can also use these Zoom/Teams backgrounds to show your support.

If you have any questions or concerns or are interested in giving public comment, please email us at highered@afscmemd.org.
