National Popular Vote: Separating Fact from Fiction

Start: Thursday, September 05, 2019 5:00 PM

End: Thursday, September 05, 2019 7:00 PM

In order for elections to truly be free and fair, every eligible citizen must have the ability to cast a vote, and every one of those votes must be accurately counted and weighted equally. The National Popular Vote compact is based on a simple principle: the American people should pick who serves as the President of the United States and the candidate with the most votes should win.

Join Colorado Common Cause, League of Women Voters of Colorado, and special guests Colorado State Senator Mike Foote and senior consultant to the National Popular Vote campaign Patrick Rosenstiel. We will discuss how National Popular Vote works and how it will ensure that each American’s ballot counts equally. Unfortunately, there is some misinformation being circulated and we are here to bust those myths!
