SLO Community Forum: The Threat of Phillips 66 Oil Trains

Start: Wednesday, February 04, 2015 7:00 PM

The Phillips 66 Project, if approved would allow millions of gallons of some of toxic tar sands and fracked crude oil to travel daily through San Luis Obispo County. But there is good news: A growing coalition from all along the rail route, including concerned citizens, schools, first responders, and environmental groups, is coming together to stop this dangerous project.

Join us for a community forum to learn more about Phillips 66's plan to expand its Santa Maria refinery to receive dangerous oil trains, and what our communities can do to stop it.

This event will bring together leaders and community members from San Luis Obispo County to learn more about the threat of the Phillips 66 Project for SLO, connect with community members, and prepare tools to fight this oil train expansion and protect our community. These preparations will be important for the SLO County Public Meeting.

Together with still have time to stop this dangerous project and protect San Luis Obispo County.
