Greetings comrades, join us for the first class of the re-launched Socialist Night School on Tuesday, February 21st! It will be the start of a series of classes on organized labor, with the first topic being an introduction to the state of labor in the US and a discussion on what it means to be an organizer. See links to the readings below:

Reading 1: The State of American Labor - An overview of current circumstances of the American workforce. Describes what challenges are faced in unionizing in the present day, and where there is potential to get workers organized.

Reading 2: Spadework - A good personal account of a labor organizer working to establish a union for their university's graduate students. Goes into the highs and lows of organizing work.

These classes are open to everyone, so feel free to spread the word to anyone interested. Because this is a live event, please be sure and bring a mask as wearing one is mandatory while indoors.
