The International Climate Strike is coming to Spooner on Friday, September 20. Members of the public are invited to a gathering at Centennial Park on River Street in Spooner at 4:00 p.m. to show solidarity with the students. Students across the state, nation and world are planning to stage walkouts to attract the attention of governments and the public to the crisis of climate change. The strikes are part of a week of action by environmental groups and others advocating for action to slow climate change. Events will culminate in a United Nations Climate Action Summit on September 23 in New York.
