Project Delta is on hold after the rezoning of approximately 1,800 acres off Highway 311 near the Dan River has been rescinded by the Stokes County Commissioners, thanks to a lawsuit filed by SELC and SCSJ. The developer wants to use this land for a data center!

What happens next?

A representative for the developer, DFC Stokes, LLC, said the company is in the process of resubmitting a rezoning application that would mirror the original proposal. That means the project must clear every step of the approval process again, including public information meetings, planning board review, and a commissioner vote. This means the fight is not over!
