#StopRosebank Court Case Rally

Start: Tuesday, November 12, 2024 8:00 AM

End: Tuesday, November 12, 2024 9:00 AM

Join us for the first day of the court hearing against the Rosebank oil field to show your support in this landmark fight between oil and gas industry profits and a liveable future for all.

From the 12-15th November, our campaign will be up against Rosebank owners Equinor and Ithaca to prove that the approval of Rosebank in September 2023 was unlawful.

We will be celebrating being closer than ever to stopping this disaster project for good – and we want you to be there with us.

Last September, the previous UK government made the disastrous decision to approve the development of Rosebank - the biggest undeveloped oil field in the UK.

Rosebank would do nothing to lower energy bills or make our energy supply more secure. It would only make billions for oil giants, with the UK public footing the bill through billions in tax breaks. The previous government knew this - and approved the field anyway.

If our case finds the decision to approve Rosebank to be unlawful, the new government will have a chance to remake the decision and stop this field for good. Standing together, we can ensure that this moment becomes a turning point in the fight against climate change and for a sustainable future.

Details of where to meet will be sent closer to the date

If you want to find out more about the rally or want to run solidarity events elsewhere on the day, join our online info call on 6th November 7 - 8pm. You can RSVP here. We’ll be discussing what to expect from the rally, what to bring, how to get there, and other activities on the day after the rally, as well as solidarity actions in London and elsewhere in the UK in support of the Edinburgh rally. We’ll also be answering any questions you have.
