Welcome to the People's Hearings!

Hosted by Texas State Rep. Suleman Lalani, MD in Sugar Land, the Texas Legislative Progressive Caucus is bringing the State Legislature directly to the working families of Texas this summer. Your elected officials in the Texas House and Senate will hold public hearings across the state, hear the stories of struggling Texans, and expose the barriers that keep our families from thriving.

In Sugar Land, we will face the rise of Islamophobia and religious hatred head-on, and rightfully call it out as a distraction from Texas’s collapsing healthcare system after a quarter century of Republican leadership.

We will hear from state and local representatives, alongside subject matter experts on the topics under discussion, and you will have the opportunity to make public testimony directly to your elected representatives.

Our “People’s Hearings" will deliver working Texans a real voice in their state legislature.

Organizado por la Representante Estatal de Texas, Suleman Lalani, MD, en Sugar Land, el Caucus Legislativo Progresista de Texas acercará la Legislatura Estatal directamente a las familias trabajadoras de Texas este verano.
