Sun Day in Keene

Start: Sunday, September 21, 202501:00 PM

End: Sunday, September 21, 202504:00 PM

Sun Day in Keene is one of hundreds of nationwide events celebrating the sun and wind, energy sources that power our world without pollution. There will be information, resources, and opportunities to take action with others promoting clean energy solutions.

Come enjoy speakers just after 1:00pm and again at 3:00pm. (No long speeches!)

The music includes a sing-along with NH Executive Councilor Karen Liot Hill at 3:00pm.

Art activities for all ages start at 1:00pm. (Young children are encouraged to bring a special adult with them.)

A parade at 2:00pm will showcase the artwork made that day.

Play climate-target cornhole and enjoy other fun surprises. If you are unable to make your own sign, we will have lots of colorful signs to purchase by donation, and a limited number to loan for the event.

Who Will Speak? Melanie Griffin from Third Act; Rob Werner, NH State Director of League of Conservation Voters; Karen Liot Hill, NH Executive Councilor; Lucius Parshall, NH Representative; Cynthia Nichols, volunteer with NH Healthy Climate; Jason Beaubien, NPR climate and global health reporter; and Matt Boulton from Clean Energy Team & Monadnock Sustainability Hub.

Let's get together and celebrate clean energy without burning fossil fuels: energy from the sun and wind!
