We are kicking off our mayoral interviews this weekend!  Join the NYC Care Campaign members on Sunday, April 25th from 6:30pm to 7:15pm for an intimate interview with Maya Wiley, mayoral candidate for NYC.

Domestic workers continue to be relegated from major protections including a concrete government plan to address human trafficking that impacts foreign domestic workers, ensuring human rights protections in the workplace, and providing support for the care sector and immigrant workers during the pandemic. Access to care also continues to be an issue for working families, older adults, and people with disabilities. While NYPD's budget continues to increase each year, other vital sectors like the care sector are defunded. The new NYC Mayor must do everything possible to end the care crisis.

We hope to see you on Zoom this Sunday to listen to Maya Wiley's plan for NYC!

The NYC Care Campaign is a growing coalition of domestic workers, employers, parents, families, caregivers, older adults, and people with disabilities working together to transform New York City’s care economy to one that is just, equitable and sustainable for all. The campaign is led by the National Domestic Workers Alliance, Hand in Hand: The Domestic Employers Network, Adhikaar, Carroll Gardens Association. Some of the endorser organizations are Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, Innovative Youth Care, among other local groups.
