Indivisible North Seattle through its ACA Committee is sponsoring a RALLY on Friday March 24, 2017 at 10:30am as part of a series of national Rallies  demanding justice and support of the American Health Care Act (the AHCA) in light of the Senate Hearings this week in Washington DC to repeal the ACA and replace it with TRUMPCARE.

Bi-Partisan groups including the highly influential AARP have come out publically against the bill Speaker Paul Ryan is championing. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has determined that 24 million people stand to lose coverage if TRUMPCARE passes. Speaker Paul Ryan insists on pushing the floor vote before Americans have a chance to analyze the CBO’s findings. Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi wrote to Ryan last week demanding he give the CBO an opportunity to analyze the changes in the health care bill before any floor vote. Ryan refuses to push back the vote scheduled for this Thursday, regardless of constituents’ major concerns.

Indivisible North Seattle is spearheading this rally on Friday March 24, 2017 to first thank Representative Suzan DelBene for her bravery in supporting the ACA aka Obamacare. The rally is also about encouraging citizens and our Congress to continue to obstruct and pressure the Trump administration and Republicans from passing a bill that leaves millions of Americans, many older and poor Americans, without healthcare. “Healthcare is a Universal Right, not a privilege for the most affluent” affirms Indivisible North ACA Committee Co-Chair Lara Lavi. “This issue will not go away, we are determined not to let America go backwards here.”
