The Mississippi State Board of Education is slated to make a decision on the proposed state takeover of Jackson Public Schools at their meeting on Thursday, September 14.

OurJPS will be at the meeting to oppose the takeover, and speak up about what it will really take to improve our local schools. We need you there too! RSVP today and join us at the meeting.

JPS has already made significant progress in addressing critical issues affecting the students and educators in our schools. We need more time to complete the corrective action plan, not a takeover that removes local control from our local schools.
