SURJ SF All Chapter Meeting: Thankstaking/Thanksgiving
Start: Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 1:30 AM GMT
End: Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 3:00 AM GMT
This is a virtual event
Join SURJ SF for our semi-monthly all-chapter meeting. This time, we'll have a conversation with Jonathan Cordero, PhD, Chair of the Association of Ramaytush Ohlone and explore the ideas of gratitude, giving, and more as we do this work and continue to live on stolen land.
In advance of the meeting, please listen to the "ThanksTaking or ThanksGiving" episode of the All My Relations podcast. You can find it here, on Apple Podcasts, on Google Podcasts, or on Spotify. The episode is 55 minutes long and features members of the Wampanoag tribe, who participated in the "first Thanksgiving" in 1621. Please listen to the podcast beforehand and be prepared to participate in what promises to be a stimulating and meaningful conversation.
In addition, we'll also hear updates from the working groups and learn a little more about the Admin Comms team.
At this meeting, we'll be asking attendees to take action by paying their Yunakin Land Tax.
You'll get the Zoom information for the meeting on the next page once you RSVP.
