Linking Systemic Racism and Poverty: Voting Rights, Immigration, Xenophobia, Islamophobia, and the Mistreatment of Indigenous CommunitiesThe Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival is launching a massive movement beginning with a season of sustained moral direct action, to address the crisis of poverty, racism, militarism, and ecological devastation. Every week for six weeks, people from across the country are congregating at over 30 state capitals to raise awareness about the unique and common ways they are affected by these 4 interlocking crisis.Join us in nonviolent moral fusion direct action as we show our elected leaders we will no longer allow attention violence to keep poor and disenfranchised people down.
The focus for the second
week of the Poor People's Campaign is Linking Systemic Racism and
Poverty: Voting Rights, Immigration, Xenophobia, Islamophobia, and the
Mistreatment of Indigenous Communities.
8:30am-9am: Sign-up for Nonviolent Moral Fusion Direct Action training @ Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1300 N St, Sacramento 95814. If you are participating in Nonviolent Moral Fusion Direct Action, or supporting as a Marshal, or Peacekeeper you must join us for this training.
9:00am-12:00pm Final Training for everyone planning on participating in the Direct Action or Support Role.
Set-Up (anyone who wishes to volunteer, is welcome to meet up at the
volunteer tent on the Capitol steps to help set-up)
2:00pm-3:0pm Rally and Press Conference
