TAKING BACK OUR ECONOMY

Start: Wednesday, November 20, 2024 5:00 PM

End: Wednesday, November 20, 2024 8:00 PM

As the season deepens, we are tuning into the question of what's next for our communities and what do we need to weather this moment?

Please join us at Kinfolx this Wednesday, Nov. 20th from 6-8pm for TAKING BACK OUR ECONOMY, our final political education session of the year! We will learn about economic development as a form of community wealth building and why it matters to us to shape it. We will also hear from the city's Economic Workforce & Development and Race & Equity Department on how they are prioritizing BIPOC small businesses and co-ops in Oakland.

Hosted by Restore Oakland, NoBAWC & the REAL People's Organizing Collective, this is an invitation for us to be active stewards in governing our community. We want to hear from y'all - what does taking back our economy look like? Share your demands, dreams, desires, and come early from 5-6pm delicious Chilean churrasco sandwiches (made-to-order by Chancho King)!
