Global Climate Strike Rally at the Florida Capitol

Leon County students are urging their classmates and adults to join them on Friday, September 20th for the Global School Strike for Climate at the Florida State Capitol.

Sign making and waving begins at 9 am, and the rally starts at 11:30 am with speakers from the youth led movement, FSU, and FAMU, as well as city leaders and officials who support of immediate climate action. This day of action is timed to raise awareness of the UN Emergency Climate Summit in New York City on September 23rd.
Speakers at the strike include City Commissioner Jeremy Matlow; FSU Environmental Service Program Political Chair and FSU Surfrider President, Bella Jaramillo; FAMU Green Coalition President, Terrius Bruce; Tally 100% Together Communications Chair and Leon Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor, Cara Fleischer; and more.
