Join the TAMWU Solidarity Committee

Are you a member of the Tacoma community and want to be more engaged in the campaign to win a union at the Tacoma Art Museum? We’re forming a Solidarity Committee to bring together supporters  who will work with us to amplify and grow our community support.

Why come?

The TAM Board of Trustees is union busting! They refused to grant TAM workers voluntary recognition of their union -- but TAM workers are committed to keep fighting for their union.

The TAM Board needs to know this fight is just getting started. To keep the pressure up, we need to raise more awareness about the union drive at TAM and its importance to an equitable Tacoma.

TAM workers are seeking to join AFSCME Council 28/WFSE as TAM Workers United for livable wages, safe working conditions, transparency and accountability from management, and respect on the job.

We are deeply thankful for the outpouring of labor and community support for TAM Workers United. Tacoma is a union town because we know that “an injury to one is an injury to all!” To win this fight, we will need to tap into the creativity, energy, and network of power of our community supporters.
