Hi friends,

Many of us want to know how we can show up for our undocumented comrades, neighbors, coworkers, and loved ones. As an aspiring ally, I believe it's my responsibility to educate myself on how I can best contribute to the movement for immigration rights--and to help other allies who are interested in learning.

This is why I'm hosting a teach-in at my house with Cosecha on Sunday, August 18th.

The teach-in will educate, agitate and organize. First, what's going on with ICE activity in the Greater Boston Area? How does this fit in with a global system of white supremacy, human rights abuses, and worker exploitation?

And most importantly, how will we take action?

We'll focus on rapid response, and we'll do an overview of other strategies. My hope is that everyone will leave the teach-in with new information and new connections to the movement. We all need our own, personalized answer to the question "how can I help?" This is a time for us to be vulnerable, ask questions, and challenge each other.

Not sure you belong? You belong. Cosecha believes that “the swarm needs all it’s bees” that means that everyone has a meaningful and important role to play in the movement. This event is designed for EVERYONE who is interested and motivated to make a difference.

Please let me know if you are able to attend, and if you are bringing along any friends or family of your own. I hope to see you on Sunday, August 18th.

At the events, participants will have the option to make a donation directly to Cosecha to support the vital work they are doing on the frontlines. We suggest a sliding scale of $5-$30, or whatever you can afford.

Can't attend? Consider donating to the Cosecha online. You can also sign up to receive our teaching materials and updates about the next event.
