We saw the escalation of the climate crisis in 2024 -- with floods and fires in NYC -- so we will escalate our demand for climate justice in 2025!  It starts with understanding the issues and at this teach-in we will:

Explore environmental justice and its intersections with housing, energy, and public health.

Explain the details of the Cap, Trade and Invest Legislation and the important details key to securing climate justice in New York: a cap on emissions and money for frontline communities, paid for by polluters.

Break down the Fund Climate Campaign and how it will ensure benefits are directed to environmental justice communities and increase affordability across the state.

Share opportunities to plug into the fight for Climate Justice in 2025.

At this critical moment we need to make NY State a leader for action on climate, despite Trump's plans to increase oil drilling and drastically roll back climate legislation. New Yorkers across the state will fight together to hold our legislators accountable, cut emissions, promote community-led climate justice solutions, and build a progressive vision that excites people.
