As presidential hopefuls begin to announce their candidacies and our new Congress works to define their priorities, this is a key moment to keep up the pressure for real climate leadership and a Green New Deal. We've already seen the power of activists mobilizing in the halls of Congress to change the future of climate politics and make the Green New Deal a possibility. Let’s keep it up.

That's why on February 8, we're joining a national day of action and bringing the call for real climate leadership to Rep. Salud Carbajal's doorstep. We will ramp up our call for a Green New Deal by publicly calling on our elected leaders to commit to a just and equitable transition to a world free from fossil fuels, support green jobs, reject fossil fuel money, and endorse a Green New Deal.

We'll gather in front of Salud's Santa Barbara office, Friday, February 8, at 12:30 PM. We'll hear from local climate justice leaders, then go into his office to deliver thousands of petitions. We will have a friendly chat, thank him for his climate leadership and ask him to sign on to the Green New Deal.
