The North Yorkshire Green Party Inaugural AGM
Please register for this event by providing your details in the panel.
Our New Organisational Structure For North Yorkshire
At the inaugural AGM, as a member, you will be asked to approve the adoption of the constitution for the new organisational structure for the Green Party in North Yorkshire. The proposed structure consists of a new North Yorkshire Green Party (NYGP). This 'Local Party' will be the umbrella organisation covering the full area of North Yorkshire Council. It will contain branches for each of the seven constituencies, most of which will be successor organisations of existing party structures.
On adoption of the new constitution, Local Parties currently covering various parts of North Yorkshire will convert into branches of the North Yorkshire Green Party, retaining their existing funds and continuing to organise campaign activity within their own areas.
Green Party members resident in North Yorkshire will automatically be members of NYGP and of their constituency branch and have voting rights at each.
Eligibility to attend and vote at the AGM
The AGM is for members only. All Green Party members resident in North Yorkshire may attend and vote.
AGM Agenda

The Additional Programme
We have arranged some additional sessions which will follow on from the AGM. These include:

Green Councillor Question Time
Have you ever wondered what a councillor does? Have you thought about standing as a councillor, but aren't sure what is involved?
This is your chance to find out more from our panel of Green Councillors from across North Yorkshire. They will talk about their work and achievements, and take questions from the floor.
Talking Tables - Details to be announced
These are topic based informal discussion groups in which you can participate. It is a great opportunity to meet other members, learn more about the Green Party, and find out how you can get involved. Topics are likely to include campaigning work, branch based activities, and some policy issues.
