This is a virtual event

As teachers across the country are falling ill to COVID-19, some even dying in the first days of school, even more school districts in Texas want us back on campus in the coming days. It's time to speak up until our demands are met. Stand up with us for:

  • safe school conditions for all workers and students, including PPE and smaller class sizes
  • equitable access to online learning
  • police-free schools with enough counselors, nurses and community/parent outreach workers
  • a moratorium on charter schools and other attempts at privatization
  • COVID-19 community and family support, including rent and mortgage cancellation, an eviction/foreclosure moratorium, direct cash assistance to those unable to work or unemployed, and other critical social needs so working class parents aren't pressured to send their kids to unsafe schools

Texans have had enough. Texas DSA chapters are standing together to organize and win our demands. Please join us Tuesday, September 22nd from 7-8:30 PM Central as we come together in solidarity and discuss how to win safety and equity for students and school employees.
