The Resistance Continues:An Indigenous Colombian Perspective with: María Violet Medina Quiscué, the general coordinator for Committee of Indigenous Peoples Victims of the Armed Conflict in Bogota, a grassroots organization representing 16 Indigenous groups currently living in conditions of forced displacement in Bogota, Colombia. The committee works to protect the rights of Indigenous people affected by the Colombian armed conflict through the preservation of traditional education, healthcare, psycho-social support, and human rights advocacy at the national and international levels. Violet focuses on the areas of ethno-education, psychology, community-based healthcare, and the history of Indigenous struggle in the urban context.
