Australia was once a world leader in tackling sexual harassment.

In the 1970s and 1980s we passed workplace discrimination laws, outlawed workplace sexual harassment and created an Anti-Discrimination Commissioner.

Incredible progress was made in lifting up the position of women in Australian society.

But progress has slowed to standstill.

In 2015, the Australian Sex Discrimination Commissioner declared "Gender equality is the unfinished business of the 21st century".
