TIAA, a massive pension fund for teachers, is bankrolling the climate crisis through its funding of logging, deforestation, and fossil fuels. TIAA owns Nuveen Natural Capital, a logging company that is clearcutting forests, our best climate solution, in Oregon and around the globe. TIAA and Nuveen are driving the climate crisis and threatening local communities, from polluting watersheds in the Pacific Northwest to destructive land grabs in Brazil. This is against the wishes of TIAA clients and against TIAA's own rhetoric.
