TPP is designed to drive up the cost of healthcare in all the signing nations, including in the United States, where prescription medicines are already higher than all developed countries.  Not only will prescription prices rise, as patents are extended, but medical procedures, also under patent protections, will cause prices to rise and put major strain on programs we all pay for: Medicare, Medicaid, the V.A., and health systems in all other countries as well.  For many, this will mean death, but alarmingly, the public systems we all rely on will also be under threat.
