The TPP was signed by global corporate leaders on February 4th in New Zealand, despite massive public outcry.  Lobbyists and global corporate promoters would have us believe this is a done deal, but those in the know of all things political know this spells the beginning of the fight in countries with the trappings of democracy, especially during election season.    Our featured guest speakers on this Sunday's National TPP Team call will fill us in on the campaign strategies going forward to shut this down in the U.S. Congress, while also focusing on the enormous resistance movement with our friends in New Zealand, and how they are building an international labor solidarity movement against the TPP in particular, and corporate globalization in general.

Please join the National TPP Team Call with Dr. Bill Rosenberg, Policy Director and economist for the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions, who will update us on the New Zealand movement against the TPP, and inform us about how New Zealand is leading on international Labor Union solidarity around stopping the global race to the bottom known as the TPP; and

Elizabeth Swager, National Organizing Director, Citizen's Trade Campaign,  will discuss strategies for the coming in-district campaigns  from President's Day week of action through the March recess;

Andrea Miller, Executive Director, People Demanding Action will discuss the mechanics of holding reps accountable, and more.

A great portion of this call will focus on the President’s Day week of action, building into the March recess, with messaging and strategy as we move forward against the global corporate takeover via TPP and corporate globalization.

Please join us,

Harriet Heywood, National TPP Team Co-Organizer
