Interested in incorporating civil disobedience into your actions? Join us for a training with Sam Corbin, an experienced practitioner of non-violent direct action. We'll go over the roles and resources needed to host actions that include the possibility of civil disobedience.

If a group is new to civil disobedience, they should additionally consider working 1-1 action coach, which we're happy to set up. You can get connected to an action coach by emailing Amy Gray (amy@stand.earth).

This is the second of our Blame Wall Street training series. The first training is on Action Planning 101, where we'll go over general action and event planning roles, responsibilities, and how-tos. This training will go over what kind of additional roles, responsibilities, and resources are needed for action where civil disobedience could be a possibility.

About Sam: Sam is a facilitator, organizer, and action coordinator from New York City. Her commitment is to supporting the development of resilient, courageous, and joyful people and movements. She is the co-founder of Movement Netlab and The New York Action Network and has worked with local, national, and international organizations for over 17 years developing campaigns and coordinating creative direct actions. Some of those include the Ruckus Society, The Other 98%, Greenpeace, Rainforest Action Network, Occupy Wall Street, Occupy Sandy, and the Climate Justice Alliance.

About Blame Wall Street: Extreme heat. Wildfires. Hurricanes. Flooding. Wall Street is fueling extreme weather events around the globe by funneling billions of dollars into the fossil fuel industry and deforestation.

This fall, we're organizing a wave of actions laying the blame at their feet and getting them to STOP funding fossil fuels and climate destruction.

Event will be on zoom. If you have accessibility needs (for example, you wish to be sent the training materials or slides ahead of time), please indicate them when you register.
