Trinidad Beaches Cleanup

Start: Sunday, September 25, 2022 9:30 AM

End: Sunday, September 25, 202212:00 PM

Join Trinidad Coastal Land Trust for a cleanup at Trinidad beaches

The Trinidad Coastal Land Trust believes that the wild and scenic Trinidad coast is a source of joy and inspiration. We work to ensure that people can experience the stunning coast from Little River to Big Lagoon by maintaining public access trails, providing educational walks, and involving the community with conservation and stewardship of these lands.

*NOTE: Volunteers can meet at either the Moonstone Beach parking lot, or the Camel Rock/Houda Point parking lot. Volunteers will then direct you to one of the nearby beaches for your cleanup.

Volunteers who attend this event will be entered into our weekly prize raffle for a chance to win fun items from local businesses!

Cleanup supplies will be provided, but if you have any of your own gear you'd like to bring, please feel free. This could include gloves, a clipboard, and trash grabbers.

Here at the NEC, we put a big emphasis on data collection and citizen science. The data that our volunteers collect helps us advocate for solutions to the waste issues in our community. We collect data through the NOAA Marine Debris Tracker App, which is free to download from the App store. You can find a short tutorial video about how to use the app here. We will also have paper data cards available for anyone who prefers analog!
