Join Shahid for Change at San Francisco City Hall to leaflet for our campaign for congress as we rally with San Francisco workers for affordable housing. Everyone who works in San Francisco should be able to afford to live here! This rally has been organized by Jobs with Justice San Francisco, Matt Haney, YAH (Yes to Affordable Housing), and the Council of Community Housing Organizations.

How do we ensure that janitors, security guards, hotel room cleaners and other low to middle income people who are the working engine of our city can afford to live here? Come to City Hall to support Supervisor Matt Haney’s Jobs-Housing Fit legislation! The proposed law would increase fees on office developments to pay for more affordable housing in the city and help fix the imbalance between housing affordability and the jobs and wage levels created in our current development boom.

At 1:45 PM we'll be on the east side steps of City Hall for the rally, then once the rally finishes we'll join the Land Use Committee meeting in Room 250 where we can provide public comment in support of the legislation!
