Next May, voters across England will head to the polls for local and mayoral elections. These elections are a big opportunity to put traffic reduction and better transport options firmly on the agenda — but we need to be prepared.

That’s why we’re hosting a special online event with Low Traffic Future to explore how we can campaign effectively ahead of the elections. We’ll discuss how to make traffic a headline issue in your area, share practical tools and messages, and look at how candidates can be encouraged to back walking, cycling, and public transport.

Whether you’re a seasoned campaigner or completely new to local election work, this is your chance to connect, learn, and shape the next stage of the movement. Together, we can make sure traffic reduction is seen as vital for healthier communities, thriving high streets, and climate action.

If you’re interested in election-focused campaigning — or just curious to find out more — we’d love you to join us. Your voice will help shape how Low Traffic Future supports campaigners over the coming months.
