...Voting in Troubled Times: The Final Dash
Inclusive and safe elections are only achievable if we understand the threats and challenges -- and if we are prepared to respond.
Lydia Camarillo leads an organization that empowers millions of Latino voters and leaders in the Southwest. Ash-Lee Woodard Henderson co-leads a grassroots organizing and movement building organization in Appalachia and the South.
They will join Dr. Gabriela Lemus (Co-Chair, Center for Common Ground Board) and Andrea Miller in an urgent discussion of continuing attacks on voting in communities of color, how they are affecting justice and equality, economic fairness and environmental sustainability -- and what we can and must do about it.
Andrea Miller will give an update on how Reclaim Our Vote strategies are empowering voters of color in eight voter suppression states: Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama and Mississippi.
