Global Climate Strikes are taking place Sept. 20-27 to demand an end to the age of fossil fuels and advocate for climate justice for everyone. Millions of people around the world will walk out of workplaces and homes to join young climate strikers on the streets. Sustainability is important to the core themes of Bellevue College. This year our focus is on Climate Justice, and we will not stand idly by. We encourage you to join us on campus at our Walkout for Climate Justice on Sept. 25, from 12 - 12:30 p.m., in the Student Union Courtyard. Immediately following the event, we will have an open campus session with Leith Sharp from Harvard University, who will discuss managing the emotional burden of climate change and climate justice.
