SunDay is a global day of action on September 21st, 2025, celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean energy. We’ll come together to showcase the power of the sun and wind, the energy sources that can power our world without pollution.

In Durham, we'll be celebrating rooftop solar in Walltown with a walking/rolling tour of the 2 dozen+ homes in our neighborhood that have installed solar panels! The tour will begin and end at a new, community-built pocket park on Sedgefield Street and visit 5-7 houses with rooftop solar systems and speak to our neighbors about their experience with solar. We'll come back together at the end for refreshments and an opportunity to create sun-themed art!
