The Standing Rock water protectors have asked us
to hold local actions in solidarity with them on several key dates, in
order to keep atttention on this unfolding human and civil rights
nightmare. The media is meeting this movement with a complete "whiteout"
giving it very little attention. Therefore, it is up to us to keep the
attention of the public on the terrorism that is being inflicted on the
people of Standing Rock at the hands of industry, and supported by law
enforcement and the North Dakota National Guard.
On November 15th, we will gather at noon in West Market Square, with signs and banners, demanding that the federal government step in and stop the violence against the unarmed water protectors at Standing rock, and; that they stop the progression of the Dakota Access Pipeline. We are asking that our government begin pursuing renewable energy in a meaningful way. This is not simply an effort to stop the pipeline in one backyard. This is a movement to protect our waterways and Mother Earth from the ongoing degradation and contamination that poses a threat to all life.
Please join us as we continue to stand with Standing Rock and all other water defenders around the world.
