We Want a Town Hall Meeting in DeSoto County!

Start: Tuesday, February 21, 201710:00 AM

Every Tuesday, volunteer groups like meet-up indivisible and moveon.org gather in front of Senator Rodger Wicker's Hernando office for resist Trump Tuesday to ask him for a date: of a town hall meeting. We meet from 10am-11am, sign his guest book, give him a letter and hold up signs to the passing traffic. We found out from Wicker's office staff that they don't know if the Senator has planned any public meetings during his spring break which is the 18th thru the 26th. We are supposed to contact the Senator's scheduler to ask for a town hall so everyone who reads this please send an email to: Matthew Major scheduling@wicker.senate.gov Let's ask for a town hall in DeSoto County! Our Congress is being asked to repeal the Affordable Care Act and they have written nothing to replace it with for us to see. Senator Wicker voted for the most unqualified person ever to be the Secretary of Education , DeVos, and Mississippi is ranked at the bottom of quality for public Education. The EPA is in danger of being totally eliminated: endangering our water& our air. Paul Ryan has made plans to issue a voucher system for Medicare and Medicaid and to privatize Social Security. Cochran, Wicker & Kelly, our federal elected officials are going to be voting on this and more and we should be able to ask them questions about what is happening and why are they supporting the most hurtful policies ever proposed to negatively affect Mississippi's poor? Every Tuesday we meet in front of Wicker's office from 10 a.m. until 11, for #ResistTrumpTuesdays please join us. #NoBanNoWall #SwampCabinet #ResistTrumpTuesday #Indivisible #Moveon #TrumpResistance #ShowUsYourTaxes
