The Gambia and Senegal Chapters of World BEYOND War would like to invite you to a Zoom webinar on Wednesday, April 10 about the campaign to close military bases in Djibouti.

Djibouti is a small East African country with an area of 23,200 square km. Yet, there are many foreign military bases belonging to the U.S., China, France, Japan, Spain, Germany, and Italy -- and Saudi Arabia is proposing to build a base as well, which would make a total of 8 countries with foreign bases in Djibouti.

In this webinar, we will discuss the political, social, economic, and environmental reasons to close these bases. We will also discuss the upcoming global day of action to close the bases in Djibouti in May and how you can get involved by delivering the thousands of petition signatures we've collected for this campaign to an embassy near you.
