SEISMIC BLASTING IS DEVASTATING FOR ALL MARINE LIFE.
The Southern Ocean is under siege from multiple seismic blasting proposals, making the waters off the Victorian coast the site of the largest seismic survey in the world, covering 45 thousand square kilometres.
Marine life will be bombarded for up to a year, with blasts that reach 250 decibels, louder than an atomic bomb, 24 hours a day 7 days a week . All marine life will be affected, these waters will become a marine wasteland for years to come. Multiple species will be either dead or permanently injured.
After all this senseless destruction these gas reserves will likely never be used.
