What is Next? Taking Back our Democracy

  • Karen Scharff, Executive Director of Citizen Action of New York and Co-chair of Working Families Party,
  • Phillip Leber, Hudson Valley/Capital District Political Director of the Working Families Party
  • Barbara Smith, a Black feminist author and activist who is a former member of the Albany Common Council,  and
  • Anita Thayer attorney and activist.
We will be talking about the significance of the national election results, reviewing the WFP's role in recent state and local elections -where we won, where we lost (why we mostly lost), where we go from here, and reviewing the upcoming 2017 electoral calendar.

Members and others interested in learning more about the WFP are welcome to attend.
